Sterling built high quality, expensive pianos in Derby, Connecticut from 1866-1960...nearly a whole century. This piano was built at the height of the Victorian era, and is made of the highly decorated Victorian style which was popular in most lavish parlors of that era. It is made of beautiful mahogany wood with ornately carved moldings and panels. Note the beautifully carved panels on the sides of the instruments, an unusual feature. It has a very powerful, deep tone that is typical of the larger upright pianos. This piano will be restored to like new condition. This piano can be fitted with the computerized player mechanisms if desired.
