This is a rare and beautiful J & C Fischer parlor grand piano from the height of America's Victorian era. Fischer was a very important part of America's musical past. They built exceptional pianos from 1840-1982, one of the few American piano companies to survive well over a century. In the photos we show a page from an original Fischer catalog showing this piano selling for $1,200 in the 1880's, the cost of a house! Note the beautifully carved legs and triple scalloping around the edges of the cabinet. This level of craftsmanship just isn't available on instruments built today. This piano has a superior tone quality, and will be restored to like new condition. It comes with an authentic matching bench, and can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
