Lester Piano Co. began manufacturing pianos in the 1980's and continued production until 1960. For a time, Lester was the largest piano maker in Philadelphia. Lester was known for their high quality pianos and ended up being sued by Steinway for copyright and patent infringement on this particular model. There were approximately 1,000 of this model manufactured and only 40 known to exist today.
This lovely piano was originally crafted in 1912 and painstakingly and masterfully restored by second generation Tommy L. Wilson, Registered Piano Technician, and third generation, Terry L. Wilson of Charles A. Wilson. It has a hand rubbed lacquer Mahogany finish.
